Description |
Since chicken IgY molecules are quite different from mammalian IgG’s, our secondary antibodies don’t cross react with primary antibodies made in rabbits, mice, or any other mammalian host tested. This makes it simple to performed double immunostaining. |
Immunogen | Chickens were immunized with purified, non-denatured rabbit IgG (containing both heavy and light chains). Eggs were collected from hyperimmunized hens and the IgY fraction purified from the yolks. Anti-rabbit IgG’s were affinity-purified over a column conjugated with purified rabbit IgG (containing both heavy and light chains). |
